On a particulars day e.g. Environment Protection Day, Independence Day,(15th August),Republic Day(26th January) etc. Plantation programme are usually organized. Teachers and staff also take part in this act with great interest. On the last 26th January plantation of trees in good number has been performed in the college campus .These include ornamental, flowering and medicinal plants.

Workshops, seminars and, special lectures are organized to make aware the students, staff and teachers of the need of environmental conservation. No use of polytene and plastic materials is being implemented by replacing the plastic cups, plates, bags etc. with the paper and clothing products.

Uniqueness

The students are asked to bring some seedlings or seeds at least one from their home or nearby place and try to sow/plant them in the college campus. Notices in this regard has been displayed on the campus walls.

Constraints

Plants are saved from grazing of domestic animals by closing the college gates but the major constraints are watering and looking after the plants. There are no permanent gardener appointed in the college. However the 4th class employees are instructed to do it in part time and leisure periods.

To overcome the problem of watering many drought resistant plant species (xerophytes) e.g., Opuntia, cactus etc. have been planted.

Evidence of Success

Through the various regular programmes a good numbers of plants has been planted in the college campus. A large number of dustbins have been kept outside the college building and the classes and students are advised to keep their class rooms neat and clean. They are following the instructions, so that the campus is dust and dirt-free.

Problems Encountered and Resources Required

Sometimes students do not follow the advice due to which there exist, some unclean situations in some places but these are duly monitored and rectified.
